Suzanne Tribe is a Remo HealthRHYTHMS Endorsed Facilitator and Music Educator who conducts group empowerment drumming events rhythm for wellness and stress reduction in hospitals, assisted living facilities, retreat centers and schools in the US and Argentina. HealthRHYTHMS is an exciting, evidence based, medically proven protocol that is becoming an active part of hospitals and health centers around the country. Suzanne Tribe brings to this outstanding protocol, her training in music and sound therapies, at the service of the needs of the different populations she works with.
Originally from Argentina, Suzanne Tribe has performed extensively in a variety of world music genres from folk songs, blues to the ‘bagualas’ of the Argentinean Andes where she did her research. As Associate Professor at the University of Buenos Aires she created new methods for training dance mayors in the use of vocal expression and percussion.
She moved to the US in 2005 where she trained in the HealthRHYTHMS protocol. She also teaches musical improvisation workshops and classes on shamanic healing techniques at the Center for Integrative Medicine in Cos Cob, CT. She has just finished her new CD with songs from the Andes with her daughter: “Songs from Mother to Daughter”.
